ISOLA is Mitec’s innovative solution for Hospitals and RSAs, designed to care for patients with airborne infections. ISOLA is an evolution of the Flexwalls Cleanroom controlled-contamination containment structure assembly kit, designed for biocontainment in the research, hospital and pharmaceutical sectors. Aimed at facilitating assembly on site without the use of specialized equipment or expert personnel. Installation is possible even in rooms that are not particularly accessible for traditional controlled environment structures, the proposed system allows disassembly, reassembly and movement once assembled, further enhancing the characteristics of modularity and flexibility typical of MiTEC production. Flexwalls Bioroom kit is composed of equal portions to be joined together on site until the size of the desired confined environment is obtained. Biological containment is achieved by studying an optimized layout that includes an AIRLOCK pre-chamber inlet, accessories for the exit of infected material or for the interfacing of equipment and process systems on the wall, a containment structure with very low losses, a double barrier at the air inlet and outlet by means of HEPA filtration, a double HEPA filtering section at the expulsion for safety redundancy, a self-ventilating extraction module of industrial design for continuous use and high performance. A UVC stage sanitizes the dirt-side surface of the terminal HEPA filter. The modularity of the ISOLA system allows the creation of complex modules for 2 or more stations up to the creation of full-size departments.

ISOLA COMPACT

ISOLA COMPACT is MiTEC‘s innovative solution for dental surgeries and microsurgical surgeries, designed to protect operator and patient from airborne infections during surgery, is a further evolution of the Flexwalls Cleanroom contamination-controlled confinement structure, adapted to bio-containment for the research, hospital and dental sectors. Aimed at facilitating on-site assembly without the need for special equipment or specialised personnel, and at making installation possible even in rooms that are not particularly accessible for traditional structures, the proposed system allows for disassembly, reassembly and relocation once assembled, further enhancing the “stand-alone” concept typical of MiTEC production. ISOLA COMPACT implements biological containment and protection of occupants by dynamic means, exploiting the air flows of the ventilation/decontamination system appropriately treated and directed. At the heart of the ISOLA COMPACT are the HEPA filtration and UV-C LED (no ozone) decontamination systems, which provide dual action to decontaminate the air that hits the operator and patient. The contamination is diluted thanks to the generous flow rate of treated air and conveyed from the point where it is generated to the footage below the working level; the contamination is removed from the working volume in a very short time, in the order of two to three seconds, effectively eliminating the exposure of operators and patients. An additional capture system is provided overhead of the ISOLA COMPACT to locally capture the contaminant during particularly critical operations that would project an aerosol at high velocities throughout the operating volume; this system can be moved and swivelled to bring the intake as close as possible to the point of emission.
